Nature inspired photo wall making๐ŸŒฟ

.

Some months ago, I luckily found a Polaroid 1000 in England. Although the film prices were NOT cheap, I liked taking photographs with it. It has a classic charm with it’s square frame which is quite different from Instax and I really like it’s own faded photo results. (I used up some photos to test lighting…)

.

I wanted to hang some Polaroid photos on the blank wall next to my bed. It’s better to use enough space to attain focus rather than just putting up photos with pins or tape on the wall. I wanted to create a neutral item which blended well with my room.

.

1. First, you need to find a right sized and shaped piece of wood. I found a five handspan sized length of beachcomber wood in a valley at Jirisan.

.

2. Lay down photos 3×3 (or 3×4, 4×4 doesn’t actually matter) and then make a space between each photo using my pinky finger. After laying down all the photos with spacing, turn over all the photos and stick in some brown twine using tape. Cut the twine little longer than the photos’ row.

.

3. Now we are going to use ‘Kokopin’. These are designed to slide in between the wall and wallpaper and they are much better than drilling walls dice this looks much cleaner and the pins can be removed leaving an imperceptible mark on the wallpaper. Tie the photo twine on the Kokopin and then put two more pins near the ceiling a couple centimeters in from the wood ends. Make a loop on each side of the wood using fishing line so it can hold the wood safely. Then tie the fishing line on the Kokopin where the wood can conceal the Kokopins hanging the photos.
